Miami Home Sales Rebound.

Propelled by lower home prices and record low mortgage rates home sales climbed 21% in the third quarter of the year in Miami, indicating that the market is finally in a rebound from its long downturn, according to the Miami Association of Realtors. The increase marks nine straight quarters of rising sales for the Sunshine State’s largest metropolitan area, which has suffered through one of the nation’s worst real estate collapses. Florida Amendment 4 land use amendment reject

The $12 million developers and other business interests invested to defeat Amendment 4 paid off Tuesday night when voters resoundingly defeated the measure that would have given residents more power over land use decisions in their communities.
With about 4.8 million votes counted late Tuesday, more than 67 percent of voters said no to the amendment that would drastically change Florida’s growth-management system. The amendment would have needed 60 percent approval. Read more ...
